Fellow Kentuckians of the 64th District
Within my first term, I, Steve Knipper, pledge to you, the taxpayer:
- I will help businesses in Ky by drafting legislation that eliminates the Alternative Minimum Tax. This tax is levied against businesses whether they make a profit or not and it cripples new businesses who are struggling to make ends meet.
- I will work to repeal the 2008 Budget bill that Mr. Kerr voted for. This bill is the mechanism that allows massive tax increases and paves the way for tolls on the Brent Spence.
- I will introduce legislation to repeal the current law that grants local governments the authority to increase your property tax by 4% per year, without your approval.
- I will introduce legislation that greatly reduces the state tax on gasoline. Furthermore, my proposal will call for one formula of gasoline for the entire state, thus keeping the supply readily available and stopping the price spikes when they change formulas.
- Give the Hands Pike Project the attention it deserves and make SAFETY the main goal with the redesign.
- Be an ACTIVE Legislature that champions Conservative causes instead of compromising our principals and allowing the Democrats to gain seats and move THEIR agenda.
