PROPERTY TAX INCREASE IN A DOUBLE DIP RECESSION!

On September 21, 2010 Erlanger council met in private to raise your property tax. When home values are going down and record foreclosures are occurring, our “tax and spend” council wants $350 to $900 more from you next year!

What are you getting for your taxes? – NOTHING!
Consider these examples of where your money has gone:

Council spent $90,000 for an email server. The actual cost should be $25,000.

Garbage collection has been cut down to one day a week. Let’s not forget each family was forced to first purchase a $90 garbage bin. Were you asked about this before it happened?

The Erlanger police now patrol Crescent Springs on your dime! What do you get? Less police patrol, but more taxes!

Erlanger spent hundred of thousands of dollars on 911 equipment that will be obsolete next year when the county takes over the service again.

The county offered a refurbished ambulance with all the modern equipment. Council said no and bought a new ambulance costing the tax payers thousands more when the refurbished ambulance would have more than met the need.

We’ve uncovered many more examples that we’ll discuss while visiting you door to door.

Let’s reward RANDY BLANKENSHIP and BILL HOWARD for voting “NO” for both (payroll and property tax) and let’s vote two more fiscally minded candidates STEPHEN L KNIPPER and JAMES BROWN to council in 2010!

JIM BURGHER RETIRES FROM COUNCIL

After years of faithful and fiscally responsible service Jim Burgher retires from Erlanger City Council and will not seek re-election. Jim has moved to Ohio and I thank him for his strong leadership and service to Erlanger

Council states the reason for the increase was to cover budget cost. Really? What is the truth? Contact me via email and I'll share where your money is going.
